This bay is located just about a mile down from Maili Beach and is protected by barriers and a sloping reef to make it so calm and great for snorkeling. We went here Sunday to explore and went snorkeling a couple times. We saw a few fish and then we were lucky enough to see a sea turtle. We swam with it for awhile and then realized that it was taking us in circles and we must look ridiculous. It was an awesome experience, but we wished we had an underwater camera. Monday we went snorkeling again, but first we stopped at the surf/bike shop to pick up a new towel and an underwater camera in case we saw the turtle again.
No luck seeing the turtle, but we did go to a different part of the bay and saw a lot of different fish. We took pictures, but will be awhile to get those up.
For now - please enjoy these pictures of Pokai Bay.
